On 13th March, 2021, an online Devotional and Cultural Event was organized by UAE Mahila Mandal to mark the International Women’s Day 2021. This Event was a special celebration and felicitation of the leadership skills of our Women Wing following the 2021 IWD theme: “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.”

The sabha started with Jaynaad, Manglacharan, Dhun “Ram Krishan Govind…” by Balika and Kishori mandal and Prathana “Asatya ki divaron se..” was sung by Kishori and Yuvati Mandal. It was then followed by stuti sung by shishu mandal. This segment was entirely presented through prerecorded videos of Shishu, Balika, Kishori, and Yuvati Mandal.

Thereafter sanchalak gave a brief outline about the International Women’s day and the leadership qualities of the women.  

After a brief outline of the evening, the assembly enjoyed a guest lecture from the renowned motivational speaker Ms. Nishi Shetty, CEO and Founder of Niche Consulting and People Transformation Strategies.  The topic of her speech was 'Sarjanatmaktase Karyasheel Netrutva”. 

The leadership of women in social causes around the world was depicted through a video of the activities of the BAPS Women’s wing across the world.

This presentation was followed by an interview of mahila devotees from the UAE and the GCC in which the women expressed their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. They shared their stories of how they overcame it with their leadership skills and the life lessons of our Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj. They were from different emirates of UAE and from GCC countries as well and belong to professions like teacher, nurse, doctor and a housewife.

At the end of the sabha, a cultural dance was presented by the young ladies as a celebration of women the world over.
